Ecco

ECCO's unsurpassed reputation for comfort is the result of three inviolable practices - meticulous construction, supple yet resilient materials and anatomical designs.

Ecco was founded by Karl Toosbuy in 1963. Trained from an early age in the art of shoe making, Toosbuy and his young family moved from the bustling city of Copenhagen to a tiny town on the west coast of Denmark to fulfil his lifelong ambition of owning and operating his own company. After years of hard work and struggle Ecco had its first major success in the late 1970s with the creation of the “Joke” shoe.

Building upon this triumph other revolutionary designs soon followed and Ecco quickly propelled itself into the global brand it is today. The company strives to create products that keep in-line with its founding ethos. The four dots of Ecco remain a firm foundation for the brand and promise to bring customers the best in quality, comfort, technology and style.

In 1996 Ecco launched its first golf shoe after their CEO (and occasional golfer) decided he could design and bring to the market a better shoe to greater enhance a player’s experience on the course. Since then Ecco’s golf shoes have promised comfort and top quality craftsmanship garnering the attention of some of the greatest players on Tour including Colin Montgomerie, Fred Couples, Aaron Baddeley and Graeme McDowell.
